About Progressive Life Center, Inc.’s (PLC) 12th Annual “Golf for the Kids” Charity Golf Classic

UPDATE: Due to the forecast of inclement weather on Monday, September 17, 2018, the 12th Annual “Golf for the Kids” Charity Golf Classic has been rescheduled to Monday, October 22, 2018. While we prepared for scattered storms, the forecast has called for 80% precipitation.

The itinerary and location (Country Club at Woodmore – 12320 Pleasant Prospect Road, Mitchellville, MD 20721) for Monday, October 22, 2018, will remain the same.

Over these twelve (12) years, this charity event has raised money to help PLC impact the lives of youth and families throughout the Maryland, District of Columbia, Delaware and Pennsylvania areas. We cordially invite you to participate in this exciting event and encourage you to register early. Not only will you have fun and appreciate the rewarding benefits from an exciting round of golf, but you’ll also support PLC’s efforts in continuing to illuminate the lives of youth.

Goal: ILLUMINATION PROGRAM

Progressive Life Center, Inc. (PLC) launched the Illumination Program to enhance exposure to careers and cultural enrichment for youth in foster care. Youth between the ages of 12 and 21 are selected from our Foster Care program to participate in a three-month journey, visiting various local employers and exploring career possibilities.

Our vision for the Illumination Program is that every young person has the opportunity to thrive as a result of the encouragement they receive to develop their intellect and social and behavioral skills for success in the workplace.
