Blake Prather, Director of Information Technology

Blake Prather is the Director of Information Technology at Progressive Life Center. He has designed and developed infrastructure systems for clients and formulated a Cybersecurity vision strategy for family healthcare services.

He leads the IT staff of the company in four remote states. Blake is also responsible for steering the bi-weekly Strategic meetings with Executives and Regional Directors to drive the IT wheel of the company.

Blake has been a part of Progressive Life Center Inc. since 2007. He left the company in 2012, only to return in 2021, after gaining considerable expertise and experience along the way.

He also established his own Cyber IT business in 2016, called Blake Associates Technologies, while working as the Chief Technology Officer at Sustainable Solutions and the Director of Information Systems at The Rosner Group. Besides this, Blake has worked as a Programmer Analyst at the State Department in Washington, a Hardware Engineer at the Library of Congress, a Program Manager at one of the largest Cloud Infrastructure Data Centers at Microsoft Corporation in Boydton, VA, and as a Data Engineer to map the first Human Genome at Celera Genomics under the leadership of J. Craig Venter, the maverick geneticist.

Blake studied at the University of Maryland to get his BS Degree in Information Systems Management and has over 25 years of experience in IT under his belt. He’s a passionate guitarist, a collaborative team player, a competitive leader, and a compassionate deacon at his church.

In his free time, he frequently engages himself in church and community services at the Land of Promise Men of Iron Ministry, Food Bank Ministry, and Community Outreach Ministry.
